Bayer House Modernistic 2 Bedroom Maisonette Renovation

I’ve recently had a chance to renovate amazing flat at Golden Lane Estate. This 1953 maisonette was occupied by one family for over 60 years. Sadly, the concrete stairs became a problem for an elderly owner and she decided to sell the flat. There has been a lot of work done inside of the flat over the years, however lots of the original features were left.

The works took me around a month and the flat was restored to the original condition with the particular emphasis on keeping / salvaging the original features.

The project included: Removing wallpapers; fixing the cracks in the plaster on the walls and ceilings; removing all the doors, sanding and painting; polishing all the original door and wardrobe knobs and hinges; repairing rotten window sill, polishing metal window frames; fixing, replacing, sanding and varnishing wooden floor upstairs and parakeet in the living room; restoring letter box and sliding kitchen doors; sanding and painting of the wood work; painting of all the walls and ceilings, stairs and railing and balcony walls.
